History
What's now
The territory is an object of cultural heritage and a specially protected natural area. Its condition is extremely neglected, there is no landscaping of the territory, there are unauthorized entrepreneurial activities. The Manor is polluted with rubbish, there is no good lighting along the main transit from the bus stop to the school, which makes life difficult for children and gives revelry to the marginalized segments of the cityzens. The ruins of the manor are not properly protected, they have fallen into disrepair, their windows are broken, parts of the walls are destroyed, the roof and the second floor have collapsed near the main building.
Территория является объектом культурного наследия и особо охраняемой природной территорией. Состояние ее крайне запущенное, благоустройство отсутствует, имеются несанкционированная предпринимательская деятельность. Имение загрязнено мусором, отсутствует хорошее освещение по главному транзиту от остановки до школы, что усложняет жизнь детям и дает разгул маргинальным слоям населения. Руины усадьбы не охраняются должным образом, они пришли в запустение, у них выбиты окна, разрушены части стен, у главного здания обвалилась кровля и второй этаж.
Phases of interaction with the territory
Main house of the manor
Considering the state of the ruins of the main building and taking into account the surrounding area, we decided to work on the principles of contextualism using devisualization and dematerialization as the main techniques. So for the main building, was chosen to restore the dimensions of the building in module, scale and rhythm, but at the same time using only a welded mesh. Because we don't have accurate data on the original appearance of the building, this method opens a portal for memories of the past without falsifying it.
Учитывая состояние руин главного здания на данный момент и принимая во внимание окружающую территорию, мы решили работать на принципах контекстуализма используя в качестве основным приемов визуализацию и дематериализацию. Так для главного здания было выбрано восстановление габаритов здания в модуле, масштабе и ритме, но при этом используя лишь сварную сетку. Учитывая что у нас не сохранилось точных данных об изначальном внешнем виде сооружения такой способ лишь открывает для нас портал в воспоминания о прошлом при этом не фальсифицируя ее.
Stone house of the manor
In our project, we tried to fit within the framework of the legislation on working with cultural heritage sites and offer an option for the most careful preservation of the ruins without their restoration. In this optionfor the stone house, we propose to replace the rusty roof, strengthen window and door openings, as well as close them from the possibility of access. The joints of the walls and roof, also close with a metal sheet. On these plates, there is a pattern of the Ushkov tiles, the owner of the estate.
В своем проекте мы пытались в писаться в рамки законодательства по работе с объектами культурного наследия и предложить вариант максимально бережного сохранения руин без их реставрации. В данном варианте, для каменного флигеля, мы предлагаем заменить ржавую кровлю, усилить оконные и дверные проемы, а так же закрыть их от возможности доступа. Стыки стен и кровли, так же закрыть металлическим листом. На этих пластинах нанесен узор плитки Ушкова - хозяина имения.
Timber house of the manor
The wooden house will also receive a new roof, it will be cleared of traces of life and dirt. Some of the architraves near the building are missing, so we propose to restore them in metal. Thus, all three buildings located in close proximity to each other will be reborn in a new guise while realizing their historical value and conveying to people the idea that it is important to preserve what we have and not try to restore the ghostly image of the past.
Деревянный флигель так же получит новую кровлю, будет очищен от следов жизни, грязи. Часть наличников у здания отсутствуют, по этому мы предлагаем восстановить их в металле. Таким образом все три здания, находящихся в непосредственной близости к друг другу, возродиться в новом обличие при этом осознавая свою историческую ценность и донося людям идею того что важно сохранять то что мы имеем а не пытаться восстановить призрачный образ прошлого.
In our proposal, there is always hope for the adaptation of these buildings and the revival of real life in them. So for the main house of the estate, we propose to arrange a greenhouse with the possibility of on-site registrations and art installations. Place a mini coffee house in the stone outbuilding, and a pottery workshop in the wooden one. All this pays tribute to the activities of Ushkov and his family and their activities.
В нашем предложении всегда остается надежда на приспособление этих зданий и возрождение в них настоящей жизни. Так для главного дома усадьбы мы предлагаем устроить оранжерею с возможностью выездных регистраций и арт инсталляций. В каменном флигеле расположить мини кофейню, а в деревянном гончарную мастерскую. Все это отдаёт дань деятельности Ушкова и его семье и их деятельности.
Festival
In May 2023, we managed to hold an educational festival that tells about life in this area. The ruins were presented to the residents in a new light, as well as our proposal for the renovation of the territory.
So, the first step has already been taken, the historical functions of the territory have been revived in a new light, the attention of not only the cityzens, but also the municipality has been attracted, a general cleaning has been carried out and an art object telling about the estate has been installed.
В мае 2023 года нам удалось провести просвещающий фестиваль, рассказывающий о жизни на данной территории. Жителям были представлены руины в новом свете, а так же наше предложение по реновации территории.
Так, первый шаг уже сделан, были возрождены исторические функции территории в новом свете, было привлечено внимание не только горожан но и муниципалитета, была проведена генеральная уборка и установлен арт-объект рассказывающий об имении.
