Handbook Cover Design

Handbook Cover Design
Rationale:
The project required only one instance of design, however three options were needed.
I decided to play with blocks of different colours with the pictures incorporated in some of the larger blocks that would have replaced sketches in the final design. In the first sketch, my intent is to guide the eye to the main picture, followed by the information and finally to the last picture below. In the second sketch, the eyes are drawn to the text information, and then to the picture and logo. In the third, the shape of G guides the eye to the information and to the picture. The concept is to attract design aspiring or even curious eyes to pick this handbook. I wanted some real design activity going so I came up with this idea. Centennial’s previous handbook cover had pictures of people on their laptops, however, I didn’t see any clue of design in them. I believe I have managed to create handbook cover that focuses specifically on design and colours.
