The aim of this project was to reflect on our values and develop our own voice.
This project was an exploration within the fields of design, we had the opportunity to be a spacial, product, sustainable and designer maker, each for one week. In order to understand and refine our own processes.
Because every project needs a proper framework, ' The Representation of Signs ' felt the most appropriate. First because as designers we are trained to spot 'signs' and transform them into meaningful objects, experiences and second because it was the sign system that first introduced knowledge, probability and analysis.
Mapping a Space Through Signs
My first proposal was to map a space through signs rather than names of roads and buildings, in order to make people more aware of their environment and their historical heritage.
Spot the ' sign from the present '
My second proposal was to reflect on the past through the signs from the present, by making some signs more visible and arise people curiosity.
In this case, the sign from the present is the ' delete button '.
If we reflect on this, type writers didn't had a delete button, which made the typing a completely different experience.
