What do I do with the Freeform app on iPad?

What do I do with the Freeform app on iPad?
I’ve been using Freeform since its official launch and would like to share my experience with you today. I believe this is an app that will appeal to most users, particularly those who are creative and need to take a lot of notes.

It can be used for mind mapping
You may already be aware that mind mapping is a highly effective method for describing a problem using text boxes and connections.

I used to use a variety of mind-mapping apps, but since discovering Freeform, my approach to mind-mapping has evolved. The layout and arrangement of content on Freeform appear to take a little longer. But when you look at it, it’s easier to understand and also helps the creator of the mindmap express their ideas better.

Of course, you can include additional elements, including images, to better describe what you’re mapping. In terms of the Freeform interface, I find it simpler and cleaner than other mind-mapping apps, allowing me to focus entirely on the task at hand rather than being influenced by too many unnecessary tools. The mindmap I created for my article is shown below.

Tools that make brainstorming easier

Brainstorming allows creatives to freely write down their rawest content from the start, then filter it to produce valuable content. I also frequently use this method; Freeform provides you with an unlimited board to put whatever you want on it. This is also where I believe Freeform outperforms other regular apps.
For experience-based articles, I frequently use Freeform to write down whatever comes to mind at the time without having to adhere to any rules; simply write it down whenever I’m free so that I can open it up and filter the content when needed. Group brainstorming is another great feature that I will discuss further below;

if you haven’t tried it yet, I recommend giving it a shot because it will allow you to be creative whenever and wherever you want without having to adhere to any strict discipline.

Using Freeform to outline articles

I usually need a place to outline an article before I start writing it. In the past, I used to use Apple Note to outline but eventually found it too rigid, so I stopped using it haha.

I’ve been using Freeform to outline recently because of its freedom and unlimited nature; I no longer have to write in lines like I used to. I can add as many note papers with headings as I want; I find this method easier to see and more comfortable than sitting down and writing line by line.

After I’ve added the headings, I’ll look for additional information and post it here so that when I’m writing the article, I only have to work on that board instead of searching.

Shared study space for a large group of people
As previously stated, group brainstorming is possible; for example, a marketing team brainstorming ideas for promoting new products can use Freeform as a space to collaborate, add ideas, and do a variety of other cool things. Because the Freeform board’s space is vast and limitless, you can divide it into distinct work tasks to facilitate collaboration.
For example, if you want person B to search for images, give them their own “area” to add images to, and if person C does research, do the same, but this “work area” appears separate but is still in one board, so when it comes time to summarize, the leader won’t have to open many files from different people.

A free drawing space for children
I saw that a friend mentioned allowing his daughter to freely draw on their house’s white wall. I believe that allowing children to draw is beneficial. Your child will have an unlimited drawing board with Freeform.

This means they can draw as freely as they want without having to worry about running out of space or wasting time erasing. Of course, for your child to draw, you’ll need to purchase a pen, which I believe is a worthwhile investment.
Many people have asked me why I don’t just draw in note apps or other similar apps. The answer is simple: Freeform outperforms other note apps due to its unlimited “multi-dimensional” capabilities. Unlike notes, which must be scrolled down to draw more, Freeform provides far more flexibility.

I also tried giving my nephew a Freeform board and letting him draw on it. I discovered that he preferred it to draw on paper or using note apps. All you have to do is show your child how to use the tools inside to easily create and express information.
The following are some of my Freeform app experiences. I find it to be a unique type of app that I haven’t seen in any other app. If you know of any similar or better apps, please let me know in the comments and I will compare them to Freeform.
P.S. Hey, If you are interested, you can check out this store. I usually upgrade my iPhone every year here because they have many promotions. $200 less than Apple Store for iPhone 14 series.
