This project was inspired by its very namesake: Canapes and also Hors D'Oeuvres.  Each part of the bracelet represents a different element that one would find in the bite sized appetizers.  From right to left they are as follows: shrimp, decorative ginger root, caviar, rosemary garnish, and finally, the painted decorations on a little dessert.  This piece serves as the inspiration piece to future work that will form the distilled body of work based on this bracelet.
