“Saturação” é o núcleo processual que nos convida a refletir sobre a condição humana nos últimos dois anos.
Propõe-se como ponto-de-situação, uma espécie de testemunho de um tempo anacrónico, num conjunto de interpretações do mundo que sentimos – individual e coletivamente – nesta singular era de mudança global.

A mostra apresenta a público uma série de obras originais que se desenvolvem a partir da perceção das consequências sociais e psicossociais, nos contrastes decorrentes do recente contexto pandémico, no impedimento do contacto físico que nos trouxe a vívida e real necessidade do toque - natural dimensão orgânica da vida... São obras que tentam expressar as sensações decorrentes da drástica alteração de rotinas, bem como de situações-limite agora reforçadas com o desencadear da guerra na Europa, aqui abstratamente representadas em conceitos universais e transversais a ambas as contingências, tais como: cheio/vazio, presença/ausência, silêncio/ruído, construção/desconstrução, fôlego/agonia, diluição/saturação, vida/morte.
Trabalhando em torno deste período em que se faz sentir o pesar de uma certa suspensão, desenvolveram-se diversas abordagens de produção plástica que, na sua génese, partem da dimensão bidimensional da pintura, da liquidez do traço, bem como da materialidade gráfica do desenho para, fisicamente, extrapolarem os seus suportes planos (como o papel ou a tela) ganhando uma outra presença corpórea: subordinados a determinados processos de manipulação, estes suportes bidimensionais revelam-se finalmente em obras de carácter híbrido, num processo de transformação ao encontro da sua possível tridimensionalidade.
A série aqui apresentada encerra, assim, o resultado de um processo de saturação em si mesmo, que se materializa a partir da reiteração de gestos, na sobreposição de camadas que se densificam por acumulação nos processos de exaustão das matérias-primas, explorando-se volumetrias em obras que, conceptual e abstratamente, questionam os limites contemporâneos da nossa realidade – aqui metaforicamente espelhada numa produção artística que vagueia entre o universo da Pintura, da Escultura e do Desenho.

It is proposed as a situational point, a kind of testimony of an anachronistic time in a set of interpretations of the world that we feel – individually and collectively – in this unique era of global change.
The exhibition presents to the public a series of original works that develop from the perception of the social and psychosocial consequences, in the contrasts resulting from the recent pandemic context, in the impediment of physical contact that brought us the vivid and real need for touch - a natural organic dimension of life... They are works that try to express the sensations arising from the drastic alteration of routines, as well as extreme situations now reinforced with the outbreak of the war in Europe, here abstractly represented in universal and transversal concepts to both contingencies, such as : full/empty, presence/absence, silence/noise, construction/deconstruction, breath/agony, dilution/saturation, life/death.
Working around this period in which the regret of a certain "suspension" is being felt, several approaches to plastic production were developed which, in their genesis, depart from the two-dimensional dimension of Painting, the liquidity of the line, as well as the graphic materiality of the Drawing, to physically extrapolate their flat supports (such as paper or canvas) gaining another corporeal presence: subordinated to certain manipulation processes, these two-dimensional supports finally reveal themselves in works of a hybrid nature, in a process of transformation in line with the its possible three-dimensionality.
The series presented here is thus the result of a process of saturation in itself, which materializes from the reiteration of gestures, in the overlapping of layers that densify by accumulation in the processes of exhaustion of the raw materials, exploring volumes in works that, conceptually and abstractly, question the contemporary limits of our reality – here metaphorically mirrored in an artistic production that wanders between the universe of Painting, Sculpture and Drawing.
