This editorial brief was all about famous film directors. The deliverables for this brief were to create a front cover, contents page and two double-page spreads. One was to be about the director themselves and the other was about one of their pieces of work.
For my project, I chose the director David Lynch as I thought that his work was the most interesting and working on this brief would definitely challenge me because before this, I had never done something that is predominantly dark but with red and white elements, it gave it a good amount of contrast. For imagery, I thought that black and white would look best with the already dark background.
For the second half of the brief, I was required to create a Swiss Style poster for one of our chosen directors films. I chose the film 'Eraserhead' since I had just done a whole spread for it. I stuck with the colour palette that I had used for the magazine to create the poster to ensure there was consistency.
