If you are a musician and you have come to Tbilisi, then you have probably heard about the rehearsal studio Práctica. My friends and I created it almost a year ago and the studio quickly gained popularity in the Tbilisi music community. In addition to rehearsals, we have a jam session every two weeks on Thursdays, which is open to musicians of almost any experience.
I design posters by myself for each jam session, prepare print layouts and images for Instagram posts.
Our events almost never have a theme and there are no boundaries in musical genres, so every time the posters design is "a free topic essay." At the same time, I need the image attract like-minded people and remain in memory.
I noticed that rubber hose animation style characters are the most memorable, so I try to invent a "hero" of jam more often. In this Behance-case, I showed my favorites - a genie, a teddy bear and cherry sisters. My characters are always brash, free from stereotypes and a little bit crazy, which suits our audience.
