What would you do when an attempt to save your loved one’s life could only be achieved by losing another? Lamun Sumelang (2019) describes the dilemma over the question with the representation of Agus. Everything has been done by Agus to heal his only daughter, Ningsih. When the Dukun said that the only help for Ningsih was to kill seven people, Agus could not refuse. Agus eventually made the attempt through people who wanted to commit suicide through hanging. Agus’s ability to respond to those who have killed him makes the dilemma he encounters more and more ruined.
Despite the deaths of six people, the situation has not improved. Marni, the Mother, intends to replace Ningsing's position by trying to kill herself by hanging herself. Agus, who was always waiting for a red light in the sky – a sign of hanging – was finally in the situation that he had to kill his own wife. The pressure of the other six victims added interest in the atmosphere of Agus and Marni’s meeting on the steep cliffs.
