REPLICA | FOSSIL WATCH

The replica of this watch was achieved with dedication, patience, and a keen eye for detail. It taught me to create very realistic images using vectors. The challenge was to copy the watch from an image and make sure the resulting vectors were realistic and authentic, paying attention to shapes, lights, shadows, textures, and other details. Below I'll take you through some of the steps I took when creating this watch:
SKETCHES
Before I even started creating my first shapes in Illustrator, I started by analyzing how objects reflect light and in what positions they cast shadows; This was very helpful and enlightening.
PROGRESS
In this image, I show my progress over time. Completing this watch took me about 45 hours of work; during this time, I learned a great deal about:

paying attention to detail

- recognizing and recreating highlights and shadows

- the use of different tools in Adobe Illustrator
OUTLINES
This image shows all the shapes my watch is made up of. As you can see, this vector has several levels. This vision of outlines allows me to show the routes and superimposed objects. This display provides a clear, unobstructed view of all the objects and paths I used to achieve the final result.
DETAILS
FINAL
I am very satisfied with the end result. I put all my effort into completing it, and I definitely ended up seeing everything around me in a different way. This taught me to be extremely attentive to details and how different object materials react to light.
