INHABITING THE CONE

INHABITING THE CONE

The geometry is truncated hexagonal cone. It is divided into 5 wedges. The thickness and truncation (length) vary for each wedge creating different conditions that can be used programmatically.

3D Printed variations of the truncated cone. Each cone is constructed of 5 wedges of different thicknesses and heights.

Concept Idea of a dynamic mold that controls thickness and heights of the wedges

Situated in providence along the river, each cone corresponds to a specific hour of the day with full sun light in the winter month.

Site Plan showing the proposed locations of the inhabitable cones
