Idea
Food delivery is now more popular than ever, many designers create concepts for customers. But delivery people also need a better user experience of the app and a friendly design, don't they?
Our idea is to create a collection of animated illustrations that tell new employees about the different delivery methods that are available in
the service.
Sketches
In developing the character, we aimed for a friendly cartoon style, hyperbolized dimensions, and artistic conventions. Everything is depicted thickened and simple. We gave the pesronage a rounded shape, made the limbs look like hoses, depicted the bicycle as consisting of three parts, and made the car purposely disproportionately small to make it look cute.
Design
When redrawing the sketches in vector graphics we used black outlines and some simple bright colors to continue the cartoon style. Each part of the body is a separate object prepared for animation. The car is depicted in three positions to create a fake 3D effect. We tried to keep a balance of detail that would not overload the visual, but keep it interesting to look at.
Animations
We made the movements soft and bouncing, and added some movement for a space effect. Below you can see each animation separately.
