Visuals for Spatial Radio — ZERO صفر is a 24-hr online broadcast and podcast exploring what might, should, and could get counted in order to address climate change as a planetary phenomenon. Many creative fields address maths and science as forms of reduction or violence, but the tools of counting, data and measurement are more critical than ever to contend with the crises we face. Through conversation, sound, and music, Zero explores the role of calculation and computation in developing a plan for surviving the contemporary climate crisis. The project is funded by The British Council as part of its Egypt-UK Climate Change grants programme.

The show was hosted from both Cairo and London, and broadcast in Arabic, English, and Spanish. The broadcast was led by MA CITIES at CSM. Spatial Radio in collaboration with Radio Espacio Estacion, a nomadic online translingual station.
