Whisper : Artist's Book
"Whisper" uses roads as the main theme of the picture book, presenting the imagery of the souls of animals wandering in the third space after being killed by vehicles on the road. The book is made of fabric material and embroidery. The author grew up in the countryside and observed that many places in the countryside have gradually been developed, and more roads have been built in recent years. Animals that are native to the natural environment have been constantly killed by vehicles due to the changing environment they have not yet adapted to. The animal protagonists in the picture book include the Formosan clouded leopard, pangolin, snake, frog, turtle, bird, and fiddler crab, among the top few species of roadkill in Taiwan.
