Get the giggles at this festival

Get ready to roll into ROFLs with the return of Sydney Comedy Festival. This year, international stand-ups and local humour legends, along with newcomers will make the many iconic stages across the city their chuckle centre. Already underway, the festival includes hilarious acts of all shapes and genres from musical comedy, and ludicrous stage shows to vintage stand-up acts, which will leave you in stitches of mirth!

Expect popular names like Joe Lycett, Sara Pascoe, and fan-favourite Aussie legends including Kitty Flanagan, Wil Anderson, Rhys Nicholson and many more.

Groove to the rocking hits by the queen

Straight from Broadway, get ready for a tribute like no other! Tina-The Turner Musical has finally hit the Theatre Royal Sydney and we simply can’t keep calm about it. Legendary artist Tina Turner, has been widely regarded as the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll – and this tribute is all about exploring the unique shades of her life which is a testament to her ongoing resilience against bounds of inequalities. 

The record-breaking box office hit will bring the culture-defining songs of Tina to Sydney’s royal venue including the globally acclaimed hits ‘Proud Mary’, ‘What’s Love got To Do With It’ and more! Be there!

The festival of lights, music, ideas & food

Make your calendars, the most-anticipated event on the city’s cultural calendar is making headway on May 26! Vivid Sydney is making its return to the city and with it the introduction of the newest pillar Vivid Food. Inspired by the creator of everything, Mother Nature, Vivid Sydney, Naturally will showcase luminous light projections, host thrilling music concerts and talks, and a series of creative food events that evoke Sydney’s major stronghold in the Aussie culinary scene. To get the best sightseeing experience of Vivid Sydney, hop on a harbour cruise and pair it with a dining experience. 

Though you won’t get the ‘Lights On’ experience during the day, the popular Sydney Harbour lunch cruises could also be an ideal option if you’re low on time during the later part of the day.

An ‘Unpopular’ exhibition

If the names like Nirvana and the Beastie Boys still get your heart-pumping, then this cultural offering at the Powerhouse Museum is right for you. Unpopular is a major 90’s throwback exhibition which uses the legendary Steven ‘Pav’ Pavlovic’s goldmines of never-before-seen live footage, unpublished music demos, and original pieces of music from the 90’s legendary music scene. Kurt Cobain’s hardcore followers will also get a chance to see the iconic Marvin guitar that belonged to the rockstar himself!
