This is a website I designed for the Design department of the University of Verdigris (a university I made up). While researching for this project, I found that many design departments had confusing layouts full of cognitive load. Overall, they did not look very attractive and would deter me from applying to the program if I were a student looking to start my design journey.

So I wanted to create a homepage that beams with passion and one that would excite potential design students. I did this by using student, alumni, and professors' work (all work was made up) to exemplify that design is not only a viable field, but also a vibrant one. I also used educational opportunities such as internships, department events, and study abroad programs to create an incentive to join to the department.
