// Overview
A third of Korean elders live on their own. Their children live far away in different cities, so the elders have to take care of themselves. This in combination with other factors makes them feel lonely. With our product, we want to enrich the communication between elders and their families. Their young grandchildren in particular. With our product, the grandmother and grandchild can send short funny messages to each other. It has the intimacy and ease of use of a walkie-talkie and the technological advantage of long-distance Wi-Fi calls. The product looks playful for two main reasons. To be attractive and fun for the kids, and to resemble the grandchild for the grandparent. For inspiration, stored recordings, and connecting, we created an additional application. This way, we propose a more casual and fun way of communicating between grandparent and child.
