Final Book Project

These are all the pictures I took of my bobbleheads. When I choosing which ones to use, I mainly focused on looking at the clarity and definition of each figure. I really wanted their little details to be noticeable because they all have their own individual uniqueness.
From the images I chose, I used Adobe Photoshop to cut the background out and edit them to how they look above. I knew I wanted to make this more like a children's book, and so that is why I leaned towards making the characters brighter in lighting to bring out their colors.
These are some of the spreads I made but did not end up using. I wanted each spread to represent their character. At first, I did not know how this would look because each character is so different so none of the spreads will look like they go together, but now I think that is what I love most about it.

I wanted to incorporate all five figures on the front and I really like this layout. At first I thought it was going to be too much but now I think it is fun and eye catching.

For this project, I had to choose five sentimental objects, and write a book about them. In my book, I chose to write about each of the bobbleheads from their perspective. First thing I did was choose a target audience because I knew it would help me with the theme and design of the book. Since I wanted the look of a children's book, I wanted to make it pop with color and designs. It is a very simple read and easy to understand. I also wanted to bring laughter to whoever is reading it so I wanted to really show the fat heads on their small bodies of all the bobbleheads. I tried to design each spread to go with the bobblehead. At first I thought it would not go together all since they are so different but once I started working on it I realized it was their differences that brought the book together.
