ROCKING CHAIR
A compact-living rocking chair for children

The goal is to design a piece of furniture suited to a compact living environment for the target user, which is children, 3-7 years old. The key feature is the space under the seat for children to store their toys or any other things. The two features at the bottom of both left and the right side are to stop the rocking chair goes too dramatically, and the furniture can be painted in a series of vibrant colors. 
In terms of assembly, the middle division plate is using CNC pocketing. Besides, most of the main components are assembled by Rafix connectors, so that the parts are available for repair. All the parts fit in a box, so the furniture can be transported without wasting too much space. The extra spaces in the box are saved for padding and protection, also for other things, such as connectors, installation instructions, or upgrading.
