CONSUMERISM
This poster is a powerful and thought-provoking reflection on some of the most pressing issues of the 21st century. Through the use of striking imagery and symbolism, I try to draw attention to the problems of consumerism, lack of awareness, and inequality in our society.
The centrepiece of my artwork is the image of a human smoking a cigarette, which serves as a poignant metaphor for the damaging effects of our addiction to consumption and materialism. The smoke that is exhaled from the cigarette takes on the form of ears, lips, and eyes, representing the "hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil" mentality that often leads us to turn a blind eye to the problems around us.
This powerful visual metaphor serves as a reminder of the need for greater awareness and empathy in our society. By encouraging us to listen, speak up, and see the world around us with open eyes, I am urging us to take responsibility for the problems that we face and work towards solutions that benefit everyone.
