Wrong Address | A Swiggy Film

Swiggy is entrenched in the daily lives of over 50 million Indians, with over 20 million Daily Active Users. Since it is ubiquitous and is already a part of internet culture, not showing characters didn’t feel intimidating. So when our client partner - Sneha John from Swiggy came to us with the vision of a ‘Parisian Love’ styled love story within the app UI, we were happy to get started. There was a clear opportunity to take a leaf from genre masterpieces - include feature films like Searching/C u soon, and elevate this format for the Swiggy universe. As one of our colleagues mentioned, we’ve not seen a genuinely honest & well-done love story in advertising for a while now - and Wrong Address has probably worked because it filled that void. Everyone is able to see themselves as Aashna or Raghav in the film. 

I have a 2-states love story. My partner is a Malayali (from Kerala), and with that comes the 6th love language–understanding each other’s culture through cuisines and language. So along with the team, I started exploring how the nuances of that can make the character arch richer and serve the graph of the film.
