Happy to be a part of Kuti's latest magazine: the theme of peace explored in the previous issue blooms here in happier colors: with spring comes more hope.
In my laconic poetic narrative, I take the reader and viewer to the seaside. Here, Portuguese rocks and dune fences combine with Lithuanian pines and coastal grasses to create a universal space of desire for freedom.
While drawing, I kept repeating this thought:a month has passed, but I still find sand in my navel. It's everyday and ordinary (who hasn't found sand in their bags after a beach holiday!), but somehow it's important to me, as if I'm constantly finding ways to dig out something unusual from myself.
I also add photos of travel moments that inspired me, their colors and light somehow complement this story.
