Family Album | Spring 2014 | Parents Project
We were asked to make a work related to our parent(s). I do not have a father, my mother adopted as a single parent so my project was about her. I wanted to collect and catalog her life before becoming a mother at forty-five. The text in the magazine was generated from two long, in-depth interviews we had over the year, which I transcribed. The images are both from her albums as well as several boxes of family photos at my grandmother's house. I have no information on my biological mother, which heightens my obsession of learning and saving any detail I can learn about my forever mommy.
