Africa from Above

The African continent never ceases to amaze and some of the most extraordinary scenes are found without having even a foot on the ground.
 
These were shot on a couple of round-trip flights from Europe to South Africa, from an average cruising altitude of 35,000 feet. Most of the images are from the Sahara area.
 
I have posted about it on my blog at here and here, including links to the actual location of many of the pictures on Google Maps, identified from knowing our approximate flight path and doing a lot of pattern matching.
