句集『こみち』挿絵
Illustrations for the book "KOMICHI
俳句を趣味にしている祖母の句をまとめ、関連するイラストを挿絵として添えたもの。
祖母が何年も俳句教室に通って詠んだ俳句は新聞に載ることがあるほど良い句が多く、そのままでは勿体ないと考えたのと、自分が挿絵を描いてみたかったので制作しました。特に「むかご」等はなじみが薄い言葉と思われたのでイラストにしました。文字情報の邪魔をせず、あたたかみが添えられるように意識しました。
イラスト制作、句のレイアウト、表紙デザイン、紙の選定と印刷製本までを自分で行いました。本人にプレゼントしたところ、大変喜ばれました。

This is a collection of haiku written by my grandmother, who enjoys haiku, with related illustrations.
Many of the haiku that my grandmother composed over the years after attending haiku classes were so good that they were often featured in newspapers. I also wanted to illustrate the haiku myself, so I created the illustrations. I was conscious of adding warmth to the illustrations without interfering with the textual information.
I created the illustrations, laid out the phrases, designed the cover, selected the paper, and printed and bound the book myself. When I presented it to him as a gift, he was very pleased.
