Rachel's Jewels is an imaginary brand that I created with the purpose of practicing branding and making a logo for a brand. I chose a jewelry store in this case. 

At the top we have a mockup version of the logo design, emulating the image of this logo actually being on the brand's packaging. At the bottom, I have included the process of creating this project. I knew from the get go that I wanted it to be simple, but not boring. The colors are meant to evoke a royal feeling, since red and gold are colors highly associated with royalty. As you can see at the very bottom, I included two other designs previous to the one that was ultimately chosen. The first turned out rather boring, so I decided to use a more Gothic font to maybe go with the royal detail, but that also felt a bit too over the top. I eventually settled on the final result, which to me, seems neither boring nor too much.
