Paris Day 7 - Notre Dame & Le Marais

No umbrellas need today! We started out at Notre Dame and I know my photos just don’t do it justice at all (and I could have posted many more, of course, I will probably go back to them one day and create a new project).

Paris is so easy to get around, either taking the metro or walking. We love the food, the bridges, the people watching, the architecture, the sidewalks, the churches, the…. well, we’re not crazy about all the smokers, but it can’t be all positive, right?

We had lunch in the Marais and strolled around there for awhile before going into Pompidou Center where we saw a wonderful Henri Cartier Bresson exhibit which covered his entire career and life as a photographer. Very inspirational. We also enjoyed the modern art exhibits there. And what a building. It doesn’t hold a candle to Seattle’s EMP (Experience Music Project), but it certainly is an architectural statement. We wondered how the neighbors felt while it was being built.
