Book Sharks is a Company that offers tutoring, study guides, practice quizzes, essay outlines, etc for school required reading. They use humor and satire to make normally formal and uninteresting books more enjoyable to read. Their target audience is high school and college students.
This design was created based on the concept of the company name and tagline: "Book Sharks - Take a Bite out of studying". So I designed a fun and visual appealing Shark, that is reading a book and just took a bite off of it. This is a great and funny character that can also be used as a company mascot! I used a Blue / Black / Orange combination that works really well together and creates a visually attracting color palette. I also chose a strong and modern font that goes well with the Shark design
