Giving Back to an organization that has given me so much
Since attending Arkansas Boys State as a delegate in 2006, I have attended each successive year as a counselor. The ability to give back to a program that has given me so much is an opportunity I am unable to pass up every year at the end of May. So, when some of the directors of Arkansas Boys State approached me with an idea to being an alumni association to keep delegates connected i was stoked. We wanted to come up with a logo that embodies not only the American legion, but Arkansas Boys State logo and the state itself. The circle seal is a play on the age-old logo of the America Legion, while the shooting star plays on the Arkansas Boys State logo. We wanted to add the iconic Arkansas diamond and silhouette of the state to make the logo stand out and be recognized immediately. I think we succeeded.
