The Salmon of Knowledge
According to myth there once grew nine hazel trees that had in their branches all the knowledge of the universe.
The trees grew above the well of wisdom in which a great salmon lived, when the hazelnuts ripened and fell into the water the salmon ate them and acquired this knowledge.
It was foretold that the first person to catch and taste the salmon would gain all the knowledge in the universe and that a man by the name of Fionn would be the one to do so.
