The moodboard I choose is organic. These two products are my inspiration of the lazer cutting lamp. I choose the circle as the basic type of the whole lamp, layer by layer to show the sense of hierarchy.

I borrowed the elements of the sweet-scented osmanthus in the first picture and the elements of the house in the second picture, and wanted to create a lamp with a Chinese style. So I drew the elements one by one and combined them to see the general result.

  For my first draft, I decided to make two layers and then stick them together. I designed to put the bulb after the house to achieve the effect of figure2. However when I get the material, I feel that the thickness of the plank is not enough, two layers of circles may not be enough for the thickness of a lamp. 

  So I plan to add elements of mountains on the original basis. I disassembled the mountain into three parts, and each part was attached to a circle, forming a layered sense of front and back and increasing the overall thickness. 

I designed it as a concentric circle, and opened a groove for the wires and small bulbs. At the same time I put the osmanthus design into the frame of the shell.

The first version I worked out was made into a chandelier, and later I added a base to turn the lamp into a form that can be placed anywhere as the final product. It is made of four circles with gaps between each circle. Glue the objects one by one from front to back on the edge of the circle to form a sense of layering. The hollow windows on the house can reveal some light from the top, and make the light have a breathable effect,  integrate into the artistic conception of the whole lamp.

  This is the final effect presented, the light is sprinkled from the top to illuminate more than half of the circle. The interlacing of light and dark forms a unique sense of story. The design of my lamp is more decorative than practical. It is more like a handicraft that will emit light.  You can put it on the bedside, desk and other places at home to add to the family atmosphere of the whole home. The structure of the whole house is biased towards an ancient small town in China, with its back against the majestic mountains forming a unique sense of mystery.
