These portraits are 2 from a series I created for We Are Purposeful's Disability Justice Report. They features Crystal and Estefania, two activists whose interviews and writings are included in part of the report called 'Our Resistance', which can be found here

The portraits include border details inspired by each activists home country/city and their interests. 
Mariana Veliz Matijasevic is an Argentinian Disability Rights activist and artist advancing human rights at the intersection of gender and disability. She is the co-founder of Argentina Intersex, an organisation focused on disability and intersex rights, is a member of REDI, a network for the rights of persons with disabilities, as well as part of multiple collectives, and groups working for the rights of people with disabilities and intersex people.

Indira (Inty) Azucena Vargas is an Amazonian Kichwa disabled feminist activist advocating for youth and Indigenous women in defence of ancestral territories and knowledge, and working to further Disability Rights through her activism and community discussion spaces. Inty has represented her community at the United Nations Gender Equality Forum, and the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues, among other international spaces.
