A big format Birch table.

The point of this research is to find an alternative to classic plywood, by searching for inspiration in the fabrication of cardboard.
The cardboard in sandwich gives structure to the material without adding too much weight.
If it works for cardboard and aluminum, why not for wood?
The table becomes more resistant than if we used classic plywood, and lighter because of the hollow spaces created by the oscillations of the wood.
With this use of plywood, we use 70% less natural resources compared to a
classic solid wood table.

Every part of the world is visually familiar with cardboard.
This material has been present in our world for quite some time and will still be present in the future, our eyes are esthetically intimate with those curves.

Because 70% of the material is replaced by hollow spaces, the table, therefore, is 70% lighter than a classic wooden table. 
To make the connections between the different parts of the product possible a piece of solid wood is placed on the extreme end of the tabletop and the two feet.

The table is assembled without screws of any sort. 
The separate parts of the table are assembled with wooden tenons and interlocking boards in cross-beams.
