PET-FRIENDLY ELEVATOR SPACE is the improvement of elevator space design, aimed at improving the experience of pets and people sharing elevators.
The inspiration for this project came from daily life experiences.
In urban areas, pet owners bringing their dogs on elevators can often cause public dissatisfaction and lead to heated debates.

I started thinking about ways in which we can reduce public prejudice towards pets and people sharing elevators, promote mutual understanding between pet owners and non-pet owners, and create a pet-friendly elevator environment.
Through interviews with pet owners and the public, as well as observations of problems that arise when people and dogs share elevators, I found that pet in an unstable state can cause negative emotions among elevator users.
Therefore, I hope to improve the elevator function to help pet owners stabilize their dogs after entering the elevator.
By researching pet behavior and guiding methods，and conducted two tests, I found that dogs would become quiet and focused when they notice moving lights and smells, and reduce barking.
I designed a pet-friendly elevator interaction space and produced it through modeling, prototype production, and Arduino programming.
