The proposed design for the hotel and winery in Douro Valley designed by OODA architects is inspired by the region's breathtaking hilly landscape and the clean lines of early modernist architecture. The existing hotel at Quinta de Santo Antonio would be replaced by a series of overlapping concrete volumes that resemble the sloping form of vineyards, seamlessly blending into the natural surroundings.

The design takes into consideration the functional requirements of a hotel and winery, while also emphasizing the aesthetic appeal of the region. The clean geometric lines of the architecture provide a sense of elegance and modernity, while the use of concrete gives the building a sense of solidity and durability.
