"Constellations" (Lonely Star)
This was the fourth self-drafted embroidery design project I completed in April 2020. This project was inspired by an Oh Wonder song entitled "Lonely Star" and was created to be featured in the music video for said song. I decided to place the primary focus on the constellations and surround the piece with lyrics from the chorus.
Before doing any stitching, I designed the project on my iPad and selected the thread colors I wanted to use. Below is the final design I used as a guide while stitching. I transferred the design onto my fabric by using charcoal transfer paper. A map of constellations within the Northern Hemisphere during winter was chosen to be featured in this piece. Because this piece was created under a time constraint, not many progress photos were taken during the design process.
