UX Research, Synthesis & Analysis

IBM Cloud customers lacked a need for direct control or pulling information themselves. Those needs shifted with time and competitors have started providing for them where we lack. The main goal behind the UX research was to understand design requirements as informed by customers needs. During this phase of the research synthesis, we had to review the recorded user interview sessions conducted by UX Researchers to identify if the early design direction aligned with needs or required a change.
The Impact: Synthesising the research in a consumable format by analysing and
reviewing the recorded user interview sessions

The UX research team conducted generative and concept review interviews for Cloud Dashboard.

The aim: Qualitative and generative concept testing. While the design team had worked on a few concept mockups, these were presented to the participants(users) for
review. During this phase of the research synthesis, we did a validation of the hifi mockups and synthesised the findings as high-level takeaway notes.

Outcome / Takeaway: Concept designs and existing design intent largely align
with user needs. Some iteration is needed to provide for configurability and to
align with dashboard framework guidance. Users needs span use cases across
dashboards, actionable data viz, and a variety of reporting instances

Participants: IBM MSS solution designers, Cloud adoption consultants, Security
delivery project executives who work with customers and are familiar with
related customer needs and pain points
