YourSpec — Logo
YOURSPEC came to me to fix a number of issues with their existing logo.
They wanted a retro-futuristic wordmark that evokes speed and dynamism, that plays into their brand color, British Racing Green. The version they were using was uneven and had a number of elements re-sized, so they needed a refresh to tighten up the look and expand their wordmark into a full logo set.
We completely re-imagined the wordmark, replacing the cutouts with a progressive halftone effect and enclosed the logo with a border to increase contrast and readability.
We then expanded on this execution to create a full logo set featuring a halftone monogram and an offset secondary monogram that calls back to the style of their original wordmark. This secondary monogram dispenses with the halftone and provides an alternative that works better with embroidery.
We finished off the set with a third, solid version of the monogram, that can be used as a favicon and in other applications that require a smaller, more easily readable size.
