A Nuclear Video Collage

Putting Found Footage to Music
A Video Collage
In this assignment, I was tasked to create a video collage using footage from the Prelinger Archives. It full of public domain video footage. The point of this exercise is to create a narrative using the footage from the archive. I am someone who finds music as a means of storytelling, so I created a music video out of the footage I wanted to use from the archive. "By The Sword" by Jake Hill sort of fit the narrative of my clips of "nuclear power is dangerous."
In the 1:26 screenshot, I wanted the feeling of the build up of the song to mimic what was in the shot by having it illuminate and flicker between the glowing man and clusters of circles. In the 1:35 screenshot, I wanted to have a little bit of light-heartedness with the breakdown of the song with the kids swinging around their heads as though they were headbanging to the song. The 1:56 screenshot resembles what I envision a nuclear fallout would be stylistically depicted as.
