The time period between the beginning and the end of a skateboarding trick can feel both long and short. "A Series of Anticipation" is a photographic project that aims to capture the moments of anticipation in skateboarding. These moments occur from the instant the skateboarder steps onto the board until the moment they complete their trick, as the outcome remains uncertain until the very end. The goal of this project is to capture these few seconds of heightened anticipation, including the rush of adrenaline that quickens the heart rate, the suspense of the uncertain outcome, and the anticipation that motivates the skateboarder to keep trying. By freezing these moments in time, the project seeks to document and celebrate the intense emotional experience of skateboarding.
