CONCEPT
Red oak is a fictional men’s cologne company focusing on rugged sophistication and natural scents for the true outdoorsman. Red Oak is positioned to reach men who wouldn’t usually spend money on cologne. This project focused on creating the logo and brand and a specific packaging campaign which centers around a “survival kit” for keeping things clean and fresh outdoors.
 
EXECUTION
The Red Oak logo is a campfire, representing the outdoors and bringing to mind the smells of camping. A campfire has a distinct smell which is tied directly to the sort of outdoors atmosphere the brand is pushing. The brand collateral is more mature and professional, while the packaging pushes the outdoor vibe with the gritty texture and bold diagonals.
