Discover the beauty of indigenous craftsmanship at LIKHA!
The Philippines has a rich cultural legacy, which includes Indigenous weaves and textiles. Weaving is a unique manner of expressing indigenous peoples' arts, culture, and heritage in the Philippines. Every region in the country has its distinct handloom tradition that has become its trademark.

Last February 21 to February 28, 2023, 57 weavers from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao convened at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) Forum 2 to showcase more than 30 local weaves and surface decorations on textiles in the Philippines. The exhibit was attended by the brand builders, academe, and media then was open to the public beginning February 25.

Likha is a program to bridge traditional textile communities, designers, brands, and manufacturers to communicate, innovate and co-create a sustainable pathway of Philippine textiles for the local and international market. It is a project of the Office of the First Lady and Tourism Promotions board in the Philippines.
