Fahrenheit 451 Covers

As part of another project for my graphic design class I was tasked with designing three different covers fir the book Fahrenheit 451. These three covers included one typographic cover, a cover design made with materials that were not digital, and finally a cover of my own choice and making. 

Typographic design: I tried to recreate the feel of a book as books are a focus of the story. I also added fire to allude to the burning of books that happens in the book. 

Material cover: Here I used a pencil to draw the glowing silhouette of a firefighter being illuminated by a glowing light source. The silhouette design is also drawn to look like the firefighter is burning to show the connection between the firefighters and fire that appear in the story. 

Personal material choice: I chose to use the description used in the book to describe a robot dog used to sniff out books as the inspiration for the cover. The mechanical dog is crawling on a pile of burning books as it sniffs around for more books to burn.
