Rehabilitating the imagination
                                             or
                              How to award a tree?
We are in a time of compulsive and (un)forced consumption of images and concepts. "Imagination is etymologically related to imago, representation, reproduction, and to imiter, to imitate, to reproduce (Eliade, 1998)". We are at a moment when the idea of imagination as an inner wealth and the corresponding satisfaction from the images we create as personal knowledge has been replaced by already imposed models for the way we should perceive reality. If we accept that in our attempts to fill the inner void through the incessant consumption of visual information, it inevitably overturns our cognitive tree.
Liming as a practice aims to protect fruit trees against vertical cracks and wounds. Whitening keeps the wood in good condition and protects against external pests. Another similar practice is Ashladisvane, in which tissues from plants (mainly fruit trees) are pressed or joined to each other so that during the further growth and formation of the new cells of the plant, a complete tissue is formed. It is also practiced on old trees to resume their growth.
In this line of thought, I metaphorically interweave practices, symbols, and meanings in ritual rehabilitation. The aforementioned practices, such as cooling with bread and whitewashing, aim to protect and nurture the fertility of the cognitive tree in a desperate attempt to heal itself internally.
Attention!!! The elevation will be doubtful if it remains in its shadow!
