Hackathon Spring 2023 People's Choice Award
A 4-hour recreation of one of the beloved Sesame Street "Yip-Yip" Martians
The puppet is controlled using two wooden dowels: one that controls and supports the head, while the other controls the jaw. The videos above and below demonstrate the wide range of motion and expression that the puppet is capable of.
The base of the puppet is made of a knitted hat, foam, and wooden dowels. The soft fabric was hand sewn into place to create the puppet's skin.
