Conceptual Book Cover
This project captured the core concepts of a classic book within the cover. Three covers in different styles were made to do this. These styles include Typography, Physical Elements, and a Designer's Choice. The author's point of view or core message should be communicated using the narrative's context or elements to connect it to the story. Each book must contain the title and author's name.

The book chosen for this project was Hamlet by William Shakespeare. I hope you find the covers intriguing and successful in representing those ideas.
Typography
Typography Book Cover: The goal of this cover was to use only letters. This design communicates the message of what the book of Hamlet is about. Try to highlight the letter M to look different from the other letters. It has red and gold colors to represent that Hamlet is a prince. The letter t looks like a sword. I wanted to do this because Hamlet ultimately has a duel where he dies because the sword was poisoned.
Physical Elements
Handmade Material Book Cover: This cover works because it uses the shadow of a human figure trying to touch the letter “t,” which represents a sword. This story is a tragedy. Hamlet wants to avenge his father’s death by being poisoned by his uncle. But trying to do this triggered a series of events where everyone dies in the end, so I put a background where many hands represent all the people who died.

Designer's Choice
Designer’s Choice Book Cover: This cover’s purpose is to represent why Hamlet’s father was killed. His uncle was ambitious to possess the throne, so he poisoned him. I tried to use chess pieces to illustrate this, and I also put the shadow of a person with a crown in the background. This character is Hamlet, who, after his father was murdered, is tormented by the desire for revenge.
