MATHBLOBS

The game Mathblobs, or as the crazy Dutch say: ‘Rekenblobs’, is developed to help kids with a calculation disorder get better at math. Forget boring and dull math lessons, leave it up to me to create a different, challenging and fun math-infused game that kids will actually want to play!
I welcome you to Blobworld, home of the Mathblobs. On every island there is a mini game that tests and helps your math level. You earn coins for each game you play. With those coins you can purchase little creatures known as ‘Blobs’ that have to be saved in the bonus game.
I thought it would be important that this game is about a reward, not about scores or grades. This way kids will stay motivated and it keeps the learning aspect fun. Also, the game automatically adjusts to the math level of the player, so it will never get frustrating or too hard too soon.
I created all of the graphics and characters for this game. A lot of different games were developed by means of Mathblobs, including an app for Android and Iphone and a fun bonus game in which you can collect all the characters from Mathblobs!

Games that mix fun gameplay with educational purposes. This example rewards every correct answer with a blob to throw at one of the passing signs. When hit, you receive coins for the bonusgame.
There are several games, Each with their own unique way to help you develope your math skills.
The game works with a reward system. You can earn coins that van be used to "buy" Blobs. These blobs can be used in the various bonusgames. Each blob has various strengths.
