HOW TO DRAW COLUMBINE FLOWER
First step: study of the structure of the flower using geometric shapes, circle and pentagon.
Deconstructing the flower in its basic shapes will allow us to understand its structure and easily rotate it and put it in perspective - it would be enough rotating or putting in perspective the geometric shapes, then adding details.
Second step: Very first sketch of the subjects and final composition.
The perfect flower composition, based on principle of the old botanical printings:
front view of the flower, back view, 3/4 and buds.
Third step: studying lights and shadows. Fourth step: color palette studies.
Fifth step: colored pencils. Final step: watercolour.
