The World Disability Day event at Akbar Care Institute in Peshawar, supported by Handicap International, Pakistan, was a heartwarming and empowering event aimed at raising awareness about the importance of disability inclusion and promoting the rights of children with disabilities. As a photographer for the event, I had the privilege of capturing the joy and excitement as staff from both centres came together to spend the day with the children. The event was filled with a range of engaging and interactive activities, including games, arts and crafts, and cultural performances, all aimed at promoting inclusivity, friendship, and understanding. Through this collaborative effort, the Akbar Care Institute and Handicap International worked together to promote a culture of respect, empathy, and empowerment for children with disabilities. Overall, the World Disability Day event was a powerful reminder of the importance of supporting and celebrating the unique abilities and talents of every child, regardless of their background or ability
