Sketch #3: Wrinkles Diptych
This is my dad. He was the first person I thought about when we were thinking about the assignment, because he has the best wrinkles! I asked him to pose for this project, and usually he declines, but he was surprisingly willing for this assignment. His wrinkles remind me of my Great grandma, his Grandma, Natasha. My Great Grandma was born in Russia and immigrated to the U.S. with my Grandma. And their wrinkles are similar. It represents that hard lives they have, yet they still keep a smile on their face. Hard lives do sometimes make for happier people. I enjoyed this assignment because I feel like I am getting more comfortable with the professional camera and I loved having a reason to take a photo of my dad for memories.
